METHOD OF SURGICAL TREATMENT OF MULTI-FRAGMENTAL FRACTURES OF SHOULDER HEAD AND/OR NECK Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC A61B17/56 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to orthopedics and traumatology and can be used in surgical treatment of combination of multi-fragmental fractures of head and neck of shoulder. Essence: fixation is performed with curved metal rod, which is introduced through 2 holes, formed in upper third of anterior lateral zone of shoulder bone in head direction at acute angle to bone in such a way that rod would fit shoulder bone in congruent manner. Arch-shaped sewing of fascia and muscles in subacromial space in region of posterior lateral part of shoulder bone head is carried out. Ends of threads are brought out above head with 2-3 cm distance between them. After that, on distal fragment of shoulder bone 2 holes are formed also at 2-3 cm distance from each other, and ends of threads are transosseously passed through said holes. Displaced fragments are rotated. Reposition in anatomically correct position is performed and threads are tied up.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to reduce post-operational complications due to elimination of metalwork migration.
