FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to separators running on the principal of centrifugal forces, and may be used in oil processing, petrochemical, and chemical and other industries. Proposed separator comprises cylindrical housing with tangential inlet branch pipe, outlet branch pipes, separating element made up of closed helical channel arranged in lateral surface of one-piece cylinder arranged coaxially in said housing and in housing lateral wall. Outlet branch pipes are arranged at outlet of said closed helical channel. Cross section of closed helical channel features the shape of elongated parallelogram with its larger side being perpendicular to rotational axis of said channel.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of separation thanks to initial stock higher flow rate and centrifugal forces acting on stock particles.
