FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of natural gas and can be used for preparation for utilisation and transportation. Separator comprises cylindrical housing with inlet and outlet pipes, cover and bottom with axial channels, drain pipe arranged in bottom axial channel. Said housing accommodates aligned jacket, filter element composed by hollow cylinder, centraliser, bush and thrust washer. Said bush is connected to said cover while centraliser is arranged inside said bush. Filter element top and bottom ends interact with bush and thrust washer, respectively. Centraliser and thrust washer are jointed by coupling stud with nuts. Main cylindrical coil is fitted in annular space composed by housing inner surface and jacket outer surface. Additional cylindrical coil is arranged in circular space composed by filter element outer surface and jacket inner surface. Main coil coiling direction is aligned with gas flow displacement inside the housing and opposed to additional coil winding direction. Coiling pitch of said coils should be selected with provided that cross-section area between adjacent turns of the main coil should be smaller than or equal to cross-section area of inlet pipe at its joint to said housing. Note that is should be larger than cross-section area between adjacent turns of additional coil.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of separation and separator reliability.
