FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device comprises two tool holders arranged in symmetry about turned workpiece axis that move along and across said workpiece, and coupled via screw with opposite-direction thread of equal pitch on screw end. Each tool holder comprises crosswise and lengthwise carriages to translate relative to each other and to contact with cutting adjustment mechanisms arranged on opposite sides of lengthwise carriage. Note here that one of said mechanism is made up of flexible elements, while another one is made up of rollers arranged on opposite sides of the lever secured on torsion box to get in contact with the surface of both lengthwise carriages. Note also that the lever incorporates roller tightening force adjustment appliance. The latter may represent a double sided wedge locked by screw relative to torsion box, or a lever-screw clamp comprising lever with thrust roller. Note here that one end of the lever is secured on torsion box and another one rests on torsion box stem by screw supports.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of cutting thanks to cutting force self-balancing.
