SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metalworking machines and can be used in turning wheels of rail vehicles. The device contains two means for turning and machining (TMM) wheels, a means for rotating a wheel pair, a wheel pair lifting mechanism, a transverse strut capable of being attached to rails, a numerical control unit (NCU) and two roller tachometers connected with a NCU and installed with the possibility of fixing the revolutions and torsional vibrations of the wheelset. In this case, the TMM means are located at the ends of the support beam, which is made in the form of a lodgment, placed by its central part on the pivot fork arm of the support post and detachably connected by means of two spaced C-shaped brackets with a traverse, at the ends of which and the lodgment there are leveling cantilever grips. In addition, the support post is made telescopic with a built-in hydraulic cylinder and is installed with the possibility of placement in a technological inspection ditch on a four-wheeled cart on two longitudinal tracks.
EFFECT: use of the invention allows improving the quality of processing and reducing the time for turning the wheelset.
