FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for turning of low-stiffness shaft-type axially symmetric parts. Proposed device comprises body and cylindrical tool holder with axis directed perpendicular to workpiece axis. Tool holder runs in antifriction bearings in spinning composite sleeve fitted via bearings in said body and coupled with sleeve rotation drive. Tool holder turn about its axis is confined by key. Cutters are adjusted to size by wedge-type mechanism.
EFFECT: higher precision owing to self-equalising of forces at cutters.
