SUBSTANCE: steel contains carbon, manganese, silicon, aluminium, vanadium, chromium, nickel, niobium, nitrogen, sulphur, phosphorus, copper, and iron at following ratio of components, wt %: carbon 0.65 - 0.75, manganese 0.85 - 1.20, silicon 0.30 - 0.55, aluminium not more 0.005, vanadium from more, than 0.07 to 0.15, chromium 0.40 - 0.95, nickel 0.03 - 0.30, niobium from more, than 0.05 to 0.15, nitrogen 0.007 - 0.020, sulphur not more, than 0.02, phosphorus not more, than 0.025, copper not more 0.20, iron the rest.
EFFECT: raised level of mechanical properties and reliability of rails against brittle fractures.
