FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: entire charge or its layer is arranged between electrically conducting plates that make electric circuit elements whereto constant potential difference is applied before impact wave affects the charge. Uniform electric field is induced with intensity exceeding breakdown strength of explosive arranged between the plates. On generating detonation wave in explosive charge positive potential is applied to first plate, as seen in direction of wave impact, while in preventing unauthorised blasting, circuit is kept open, or charge sensitivity to detonation pulse is reduced by applying positive potential to opposite plate. Explosive device comprises impact wave generator and capacitor with plates where between main explosive charge or its layer is placed, and whereto constant high-voltage source is connected to break the circuit or to change polarity. Explosive layer thickness between plates is selected to exceed explosive detonation excitation depth on loading explosive by impact wave generator.

EFFECT: fast switching proposed device from one state in another.
