FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: procedure consists in oil sampling and in dividing it to equal parts. Each part is heated at atmospheric pressure, further vapours are condensed and condensate is withdrawn. Also, test temperature is raised for each successive part of the oil sample at a constant value. Further, there is determined coefficient of light flux absorption, amount of evaporated weight as difference between sample weight prior to and past the test, and coefficient of evaporation Cg as ratio of evaporated weight of the oil sample to left weight. Additionally, there is determined coefficient considering concentration of products of temperature destruction of oil Cd.p. as ratio of coefficient of light flux absorption to coefficient of evaporation. There is plotted graphic dependence of change of coefficient Cd.p. from test temperature. Temperature resistance of lubricant oil is determined by temperature of commencement of destruction of oil base.
EFFECT: increased information value of determination.
