FIELD: instrument making.

SUBSTANCE: liquid-crystal display comprises the following: transparent first substrate arranged on side of reflection plane; transparent second substrate arranged opposite to the first substrate; cholesteric liquid crystal placed between the first and second substrates, colour of selective reflection in which is yellow; and reflector for white/blue reflection arranged opposite to the second substrate. Angular dependence of reflector scattered light intensity for white/blue reflection is equivalent to angular dependence of cholestetic liquid crystal scattered light intensity.

EFFECT: improved characteristics of display.
