SUBSTANCE: display system, having a display device and a device for interacting with a user superimposed on the display device, wherein the device for interaction with a user (200, 300) has an optical module (210, 310), having a layer (5) of material which is electrically switched between a first visual state and a second visual state, and an electric switch (6a, 6b) for electric switching of the material between the first and second visual states, wherein the layer contains a scattering layer for scattering part of ambient light (222), a reflecting layer (5a) between the display device and the scattering layer for reflecting part of the scattered ambient light, a detector (6a, 11b) for detecting presence of a physical object and a control unit (290, 390) for controlling the electric switch in response to detection of a physical object.
EFFECT: detection of interaction of a user with a device for interacting with a user, and providing user feedback without the need to merge the user interaction device with the display.
