FIELD: information displaying equipment. SUBSTANCE: liquid-crystal display with reflection polarizer contains front and rear panels with electrodes and polarizers and layer of liquid crystal located between them. Polarizer of rear panel is reflection polarizer at least in one region of spectrum and includes at least one element presenting multilayer structure. Multilayer structure has at least two anisotropic layers separated by intermediate layer optically clear in above- mentioned spectral region. Refractive indices and thickness of mentioned layers in multilayer structure correspond in accordance with condition for provision of extremum for relation of passed and reflected polarizations in above-mentioned region of spectrum. Liquid-crystal display in agreement with proposed invention has bright, saturated color, high contrast and wide observation angle. EFFECT: enhanced brightness of display, generation of spectrally clear colors in image, possibility of formation of white, black and color components in color image which enable image contrast and saturation to be amplified and image observation angle on display to be enlarged. 14 cl, 3 dwg
