SUBSTANCE: method involves displaying a plurality of graphical items on the touch sensitive display of the electronic device where each graphical item has an assignment associated with the activity of the device and/or information stored on the device; detecting a connection, formed by a user, of at least two graphical items, the connection including a line on the touch sensitive display between the at least two graphical items; and, performing an action dependent on the assignment of the connected graphical items.
EFFECT: providing a user with an improved graphic user interface which provides the user with fast and easy access and activation of available functions.
