FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: proposed smoke signaling system estimates the state of smoke annunciators with due allowance for ambient atmosphere characteristics, or with variation of signal estimate in annuciator proper. Note here that system operation threshold, at particular ambient conditions, is increased to make smoke annunciator less sensitive.

EFFECT: reduced probability of false alarm signal generation.
