SUBSTANCE: device for determining specific optical density of the medium in an aspiration smoke detector. To ensure measurement of the specific optical density of the medium in dB/m or in %/m of attenuation, to ensure control of the performance and stability of the sensitivity of the device during operation, the optical smoke density meter, consisting of a cylindrical smoke chamber containing a charging part in the form of a ring and a needle, connected to a high-voltage pulse generator with a voltage regulator, a fan and an information processing unit, additionally contains a positive electrode located in the smoke chamber, a resistor, a resistive voltage divider, a fan control circuit and an analogue-to-digital converter, wherein the charging part ring and the positive electrode are made of stainless steel with polished internal surfaces.

EFFECT: early detection of the signs of fire hazard.
