FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of agriculture. Method includes preparation of soil, planting hefts of common licorice rhizomes of local ecotype during continuous motion at the age of three-five years with length of 0.20-0.25 m with planting norm of 2-3 pieces per one running metre to the bottom of open harrows displaced relative to each other at the distance of 0.7 m, and compaction with pressure of 0.15-0.20 MPa of rice bay surface. Simultaneously with planting of hefts of licorice rhizomes into harrows of stepped or triangular profile, tubers of girasol are laid with a norm of 6-8 tubers per running metre, as well as strips of dog-grass sod with thickness of 6-8 cm and width of 12-15 cm of one-two years of age. On completion of planting of hefts, tubers and sod strips and compaction of rice bay surface, it is flooded with a layer of water of 6-8 cm for a day.

EFFECT: method provides for repeated introduction of rice into crop rotation, reduction of water level for 5-6 years, reduced mineralisation of soil water, higher content of humus and NPK macroelements in root layer.
