FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agricultural production, namely, to storage of grain intended for feeding to animals. Method includes harvesting spiked cereals (wheat, barley, oats) in phase of waxy ripeness with grain moisture of 25-35%, and corn - up to 45%, its flattening, laying for storage into tight sectional storage bays of trench type or polyethylene hoses and devices to pump air out of storage bays with a vacuum pump via corrugate polyethylene tubes with perforation, laid at the bottom of section or in a hose. Volume of air pumping is determined by phase condition of grain mass. As a result of difference between atmospheric and residual pressure in section of storage bay or in hose after air pumping, and in section also as a result of additional static load, grain mass is compacted, air content in it is dramatically reduced, and practically anaerobic medium is created, which prevents development of mould fungi. The device (version 1) comprises sectional storage bay of trench type, a battery of flexible perforated polyethylene pipes with diametre of 50 mm is laid to the storage bay bottom and joined to a header, non-perforated end of which is taken outside the storage bay limits and has a stop valve and a nozzle for connection to the vacuum-pump. The device (version 2) comprises a polyethylene hose and a press compactor, a flexible perforated polyethylene pipe with diametre of 50 mm is laid into the polyethylene hose, and the non-perforated end of the pipe via a tight flange is taken outside the hose limits and has a stop valve and a nozzle for connection to the vacuum-pump.

EFFECT: invention provides for lower loss of grain nutritious value in process of storage.
