SUBSTANCE: invention relates to water treatment and can be used in systems for regulating the coagulation process on water treatment facilities. In the method of regulating the water coagulation process, regulation of the main coagulation process steps - reduction of aggregative stability of suspended matter and subsequent flocculation - is carried out periodically in real time mode. Regulation of the aggregative stability is carried out based on rapid measurement of the electrophoretic velocity of particles in the suspended matter from top to bottom and comparing the value with the value of electrophoretic velocity corresponding to the lower coagulation threshold. Regulation of the flocculation step is performed based on sedimentation rapid analysis by determining the hydraulic size of the suspended matter during flaking, comparing its value with the optimum hydraulic size of the suspended matter, which is determined through process regulation, and subsequent correction of the dose of the flocculant.

EFFECT: method of regulating the coagulation process ensures high reliability of water treatment, reduces reagent consumption and lowers content of residual reagents in the treated water.
