FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: method includes making gabion mats from mesh grid, which is folded twice, with arrangement of hollow cylinders between the layers. In areas of cylinders adjacency the layers of grid are tightly sewn to each other with a binding wire, breaking the produced mat into separate cylindrical sections. The hollow cylinders are tightly filled with stones. Afterwards the hollow cylinders are withdrawn from the mat, and ends are plugged with plugs.
EFFECT: increased efficiency in making cylindrical gabion mats, efficiency and reliability of slopes protection, shores, river and canal beds against washing and higher durability of the facility service life.
