FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: toothed chain consists of connected alternating internal and external links. The internal links of the chain have at least one internal plate and at least two connecting bushings perpendicular to the internal plate and passing through it. The external links of the chain have at least two external plates and at least two connecting rollers perpendicular to the external plates and passing through them. For connection of the links each connecting roller of the external link passes through the connecting bushing of the internal link. The internal plate of the internal link and/or the external plate of the external link are made as the toothed plates. Each tooth plate has two teeth; each of the said two teeth has an external facet and an internal facet. Angle α of incline of the external facets of the tooth plates teeth lies in the range 68° ≤ α ≤ 75°, while ratio of V_Ro pitch to diametre of the connecting rollers is within the range 2.15 ≤ V_Ro ≤ 2.65.

EFFECT: raised strength of chain and wear resistance of chain drive.
