FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves converting iron (II) into a complex compound with aluminium in a weakly acidic medium by adding a surfactant and water, followed by heating in a water bath, where the iron (II) solution with pH 4.3-5.0 is mixed with 150-200 times more amount of aluminon, 0.8-1.2 ml solution of the surfactant, obtained by adding 2 ml of 2% polyvinyl alcohol solution to 3.5 ml of 2% gelatin solution and adding water until achieving volume of 50 ml, and water to 10 ml with subsequent heating on a water bath at temperature 80-90°C for 10-15 minutes.
EFFECT: high sensitivity and selectivity of analysis.
