FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method involves converting iron (II) into a complex compound with aluminon in a weakly acidic medium, where the iron (II) solution at pH 4.4-5.0 is mixed with aluminon taken in amount which is 450-550 times greater than the amount the iron (II) solution, 0.05-0.25 ml of a solution of a surfactant obtained by adding up to 100 ml to 0.2 g of tridecyl alcohol, and up to 10 ml water with subsequent heating in a water bath at 70-85°C for 3-6 minutes.

EFFECT: increased sensitivity and reproducibility of analysis.
