SUBSTANCE: portable laser range finder (10) for non-contact measurement of distance, having an optical emitting channel (28) with at least one optical radiator (20) for sending the measurement signal, a receiving channel (29) with at least one receiving optical system for focusing the measurement signal onto the receiver (26), as well as a holder (40) of the optical system for holding components of the emitting and receiving channel. The invention proposes making the holder (40) of the optical system from plastic. The invention also relates to a method of making such a portable laser range finder.
EFFECT: high measurement accuracy and high mechanical and thermal stability.
