FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: present group of inventions concerns a structure-forming system for an oral care composition. The structure-forming system contains a gel mesh phase and a carrier phase to be used in the oral cavity. The gel mesh phase contains: i) at least one fat amphiphilic substance; ii) at least one secondary surface-active substance characterised by hydrophilic- lipophilic balance not less than 6; and iii) at least one solvent chosen from water, edible polyatomic alcohols and their combinations. A method for producing structure-forming system involves the stages whereat: a) combining said fat amphiphilic substance characterised by chain melting temperature, secondary surface-active substance, and solvent at temperature sufficient to make the secondary surface-active substance and solvent to introduce into the fat amphiphilic substance to form a mixture; b) cooling said mixture below chain malting temperature of said fat amphiphilic substance to form a; and) adding carrier materials to the gel mesh to be used in the oral cavity.

EFFECT: structuring provided the gel mesh creates desired rheology or viscosity by thickening of the oral care composition, and can be carried out without polymer thickeners needed.
