FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: composition contains an oil base and 0.01-5% detonation synthesis diamond-carbon powder in form of fractal clusters with a range of dimensions set by centrifuging the composition, where the said range is selected from: 10-30 nm, 20-40 nm, 40-80 nm, 80-120 nm, with redistribution of the ratio of the diamond and the non-diamond phase of the carbon equal to 55:45, 50:50, 35:65, 25:75, respectively. The composition is obtained by adding detonation synthesis diamond-carbon powder to the oil base, mixing, dispersion and then centrifuging the composition in the centrifuging load range of 10-3000 g, where g is gravity acceleration, with extraction of narrow fractions of the diamond-carbon powder. Preferably, centrifuging is carried out step-by-step while increasing the centrifuging load on each subsequent step or in a single step with the required centrifuging load.
EFFECT: high wear-resistance of the friction pair, broader operational capability, simple method of preparing the composition.
