FIELD: oil and gas production.
SUBSTANCE: procedure consists in withdrawal of oil via producers, in pumping working substance through pressure wells and in specifying boundaries of deposits. At definition of boundaries of the deposit, there is analysed position of water-oil contact in wells having stayed idle for a long time. Direction of water flow movement in the deposit is determined on position of water-oil contact in wells. Also, by direction of water flow motion there are selected structures with banks or a hydraulic lock. Height and width of the hydraulic lock are analysed in this structure. If ratio of height to width of the structure exceeds 1, this structure is qualified as a deposit. Existing wells are perforated in the selected structures and/or the present wells are deepened to the selected structures, and/or there are drilled producers in the selected structures and oil is withdrawn.
EFFECT: prospecting oil reservoirs inside developed deposit.
