FIELD: physics, robotics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microrobotics and can be used in actuating devices of micromanipulators. The electrostatic micro-gripper has a base, a housing, gripping fingers, drives formed by electrostatic transducers, each having two electrically conducting plane-parallel plates with a layer of elastic dielectric in between. Each drive is in form of a row of electrostatic transducers formed by inner, intermediate and outer electrically conducting plane-parallel plates. The first electrostatic transducer in a row is formed by inner and intermediate plates, while middle electrostatic transducers are formed by intermediate plates and the last electrostatic transducer in the row is formed by intermediate and outer plates. The inner plate is immovable, the intermediate and outer plates are movable and the gripping finger of the micro-gripper is attached to the outer plate.
EFFECT: invention broadens functional characteristics of the microgripper by enabling adjustment of deviation of gripping fingers in a wide range.
