FIELD: physics, robotics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microrobotics and can be used as an actuating device for a micromanipulator. The bimetallic microgripper has a base and gripping fingers. The gripping fingers are made from bimetallic plates, whose ends are immovably attached to a heating element, on the reverse side of which there is a thermoelectric module based on the Peltier effect.
EFFECT: invention improves operational properties of the microgripper associated with increase in power for holding microobjects, and also increases reliability of operation of the microgripper.
