FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed engine comprises housing, shaft, locking mechanisms and parts that form annular chamber and represent coaxially-arranged tubular elements, and ring-like disks. Tubular elements feature different diameters. Grooves are made radially in one tubular element. Said grooves accommodate compression and conversion vanes between which combustion chambers are arranged. Shaped ledges are arranged on the other tubular element. Outer surfaces of shaped ledges and mating surfaces of tubular elements and ring-like disks form compression and conversion chambers. Intake and exhaust channels alternate in one shaped ledge for compression and conversion chambers. Each of said vanes comprises vane body and vane spring-loaded inside said body to move axially along vane lengthwise axis. Engine incorporates cam mechanisms and retaining segments that make locking mechanisms. Cam mechanisms are fitted on the shaft to allow vanes to reciprocate and be retained in preset position. Retaining segments are arranged in housing to revolve relative to vanes to lock the latter in preset position.
EFFECT: simplified design, better tightness.
