FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: spacecraft antenna consists of a radiator and an opened reflector, which includes a central unit which is pivotally connected to a bearing frame made in form of spokes which are mechanically connected to a meshed fabric, a hub with a flange attached to the central unit on the opposite side of opening of the reflector, which is joined to the spokes by struts with a single centre in the region of the free end, and the flange of the hub is attached to the first flange of the device for turning the reflector in space, which includes a second flange for connection to the spacecraft and an electromechanical drive consisting of an electric motor and a reducer. The device for turning the reflector in space is made using two transmissions "cam ring - output shaft of the electromechanical drive", which includes a synchronous electric motor with electromagnetic reduction, placing the cam ring between two flanges of the device, joined on the inner diametres by a silphon, and on the outer diametres by springs.
EFFECT: reduced weight of the antenna due to use of a device for turning the reflector in space in its design.
