FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: in method for determining electric parametres of zones of work space of electric arc furnace there performed is measurement of instantaneous values of current and phase voltage of electrode, amplitude values and phase of current and voltage and calculation as to them of electric resistances of zones of work space by using their equivalent circuits. At that, as equivalent circuits there used are circuits with active electric resistance connected to equivalent circuit in series relative to electric resistance of arc, which characterises the melt zone in near-electrode space of arc furnace and active electric resistance connected to equivalent circuit, which characterises charge zone shunting the arc in near-electrode space of arc furnace. At that, instantaneous values of current and voltage are measured at time interval divisible by the current change period; as per those values, values of differential active resistance of electrode circuit are calculated. Maximum value of this resistance and average value of its minimum values is determined. At that, electric resistance of zones of work space is calculated as per the specified ratios.
