FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of silicates and glase compositions for applying on faience articles, mainly for decorative and art purposes. The glase for faience contains kaolin, calcined soda, faience fragments, cobalt sulphate, a mixture of calcium borate and borax taken in equal weight parts and annealed to glassy state, with the following ratio of components in wt %: kaolin 1-3; calcined soda 0.07-0.09; faience fragments 0.5-1; cobalt sulphate 0.01-0.03; mixture of calcium borate and borax taken in equal weight parts and annealed to glassy state 95.9-98.4.
EFFECT: obtaining low-melting glase for faience.
