FIELD: information technologies.

SUBSTANCE: sequence of the following actions is applied: time exponential filtration of observed images, calculation of difference between the observed and the filtered image multiplied by weight ratio, parallel two-dimensional space filtration of time difference with two filters with masks of various type and size, production of difference of space filtration results, assessment of produced difference dispersion in the processed area of the frame, threshold processing to produce a binary image, a morphological filtration, marking and parameterisation of the binary image, making a decision on availability of objects in the frame, formation of a tracking strobe depending on dimensions and speed of objects motion with further selection of objects in the strobe.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of detection and following both small-size and oblong air objects observed at the background of a clear or cloudy sky by sensors of television and infrared ranges with low noise-signal ratio in the initial image.
