Increasing digitisation of the residual video data of the basic layer includes interpolation of values for one or more positions of pixels of the residual video data of the basic layer after increasing digitisation, which correspond to positions between various units of the residual video data of the basic layer.
EFFECT: development of an adaptive technology to increase digitisation of video data of the basic layer to code video data of the improving layer for space scalability.
