FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: in order to carry out inspection using the disclosed method on all medicinal agents to be inspected, a differential scanning calorimetre is used to measure the value of melting energy of the active substance in standard samples, subjected to artificial or natural ageing, from which information on changes in concentration of the active substance during storage relative the standard is obtained. Further, measurement results of the melting energy of the active substance in the test sample obtained similarly are used to calculate relative change in concentration of the active substance and the corresponding expiry date is determined from the available table. The remaining shelf-life of the test sample is equal to the difference between the shelf-life established for it and the determined expiry date.
EFFECT: removal of disadvantages by determining the expiry date not from calendar dates in documents or packaging, but from change in concentration of the active substance due to storage.
