FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an application of a polymorphic form of trimebutine maleate for producing a medicinal product in a solid form for treating diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, wherein said polymorphic form on a powder X-ray diffractogram has characteristic peaks at the following angles 2θ, ° (± 0.1°): 8.7; 11.6; 13.2; 15.3; 21.5; 23.4; 27.9; 30.8. The invention also relates to an application of a pharmaceutical composition exhibiting spasmolytic activity for treating diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, wherein said pharmaceutical composition comprises a therapeutically effective amount of the polymorphic form of trimebutine maleate with characteristic peaks on the X-ray powder diffractogram at the following angles 2θ, ° (± 0.1°): 8.7; 11.6; 13.2; 15.3; 21.5; 23.4; 27.9; 30.8, and at least one pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
EFFECT: polymorphic form of trimebutine maleate, stable in storage, non-hygroscopic, and well-soluble, intended for creating a medicinal product.
