FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: in motor control device and method the stator winding temperature is measured with temperature sensor (14), intensified with temperature amplifier (21) of stator winding and transmitted to control unit (23) of transport vehicle. Then, cooling oil (17) of motor for cooling of external periphery of stator cools stator winding (16) along end section of stator winding (16). Motor cooling oil temperature increased by stator winding (16) is measured with temperature sensor (15) and also transmitted to control unit (23) of transport vehicle through temperature amplifier (22) of motor cooling oil. Control unit (23) of transport vehicle evaluates rotor magnet temperature on the basis of thermal model (relations between temperature, heat generation and heat resistance) of motor cooling oil, stator winding and rotor magnet by means of motor cooling oil temperature and stator winding temperature as input values and supplies control command to motor control unit (24).
