FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, and can be used if atmospheric hypoxic or hyperoxic therapy is required. That is ensured by alternating the cycles of hypoxic or hyperoxic exposure by using a unit comprising a gas mixer with its inputs connected by flow passage regulators and an air control valve to a mixed gas source and atmospheric air, and its output - to a pump; also the unit accommodates a variable volume weighted tank, a fill sensor and a mixed gas supply means. The mixed gas supply means is designed as a tank which is included in a closed fluid circuit with series pump, mixer and variable volume tank. One circuit link comprises a device for removal of a portion of mixed gas mix designed, e.g. in the form of the air control valve and flow passage regulator. The exposure is performed by infinite variation of the oxygen content in mixed gas mix under the standard conditions from norm to the preset minimum. It is followed with time adjustment at the preset minimum oxygen content in mixed gas, then the oxygen content in mixed gas is changed from the preset minimum to norm under the standard conditions. Thereafter, infinite variation of the oxygen content in mixed gas from norm to the preset maximum, time adjustment at the preset maximum oxygen content in mixed gas, and variation of the oxygen content in mixed gas from the preset maximum to norm under the standard conditions follow.

EFFECT: inventions allow improving adaptive capabilities of biological objects due to smooth variation of the oxygen content in mixed gas supplied to the patient during a therapeutic session.
