FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat-and-mass transfer equipment and is intended for gas-liquid reactions in catalyst channels. Proposed apparatus comprises elongated housing accommodating several consecutive bundles of parallel channels, branch pipes to feed initial components, dispersed phase initial dispersion and distribution device and branch pipes for additional feed of dispersed phase. Pressure pulsation generator is arranged inside aforesaid casing, ahead of each bundle. Note here that flow distributor is arranged the first along the phase transfer direction. Besides, flow distributor is arranged between the flow division bundles. Pressure pulsation generators are fitted inside one of said divided flows, each being connected with oscillation generator. Note here that oscillation generators are connected to controller. Method of its operation consists in generation of pulsations in liquid-gas and/or liquid-liquid systems. Pulsation amplitude ruling out return flows of heterogeneous system in bundle channels. Note here that said oscillations are generated at preset frequency.
EFFECT: higher operating efficiency.
