FIELD: dispersion of gas in liquid, dispersion of one liquid in another (emulsification) at accompanying heat- and mass-exchange processes - gas-and-liquid reactions, absorption, cooling of gases, extraction; chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, food-processing and other industries. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has housing with one or several phase contacting tubes and technological branch pipes. Phase contacting tubes are made in form of confuser-diffuser members of Venturi tube type connected in succession; opening angle of confuser part is 10-40 deg and that diffuser part is 4-20 deg. Tubes may be made by plastic deformation of cylindrical tubes. Method of interaction in gas-to-liquid and liquid-to-liquid systems consists in delivery of continuous and dispersed phases from confuser ends of phase contacting tubes. Volumetric flow rate of heterogeneous medium fed through each tube is related to volume of each confuser-diffuser member according to definite relationship.
