FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: gear consists of several similar steps including pinion (a) and wheel (c) where each successive pinion (a) and each successive wheel (c) are set off relative to preceding ones for the same step τ=πD/z·n, where D is diametre of initial circumference of pinion (wheel), z is number of teeth of pinion (wheel), and n is number of steps of gear. Also, overlap ratio of gear teeth and number of its steps n is determined in accordance with dependency ε=εc=n≥1, where εc is overlap ratio of step teeth. An angular pitch between teeth of the gear is made within the range from 90° to 360°, where number of teeth on gear is 4, 3, 2 and 1 tooth correspondingly. Gear ratio of gear with one tooth on pinion is equal to number of teeth on a wheel of one step.
EFFECT: increased gear ratio, reduced dimensions and weight, and increased strength of teeth and efficiency of gear.
