SUBSTANCE: computer system for transmitting ophthalmic-microsurgical information has a formatting device, a compiling device, a distributing device, a redirecting device, wherein the formatting device is in form of a personal computer on which software for entering and encoding information in single formats is installed, the compiling device is in form of a file server on which an operating system is installed, the distributing device is in form of network adapters and/or hubs which distribute ophthalmic-microsurgical information from each station to the file server and back, the redirecting device is in form of network commutators and/or access points, which are connected in parallel to the common bus and together with the network adapters and hubs facilitate redirection of ophthalmic-microsurgical information for which all automated workstations, regardless of their location and method of connection, have the same priority for accessing the ophthalmic-microsurgical information.

EFFECT: optimisation of functioning of high-tech computer networks for transmitting ophthalmic-microsurgical information.
