SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to agriculture and may be used to optimise working parameters of a harvester in process of operation. In the separation stage a flow of harvested mass is continuously separated into a flow of useful material and a flow of residual material. Some flow of the useful material is caught from the separation stage into a measurement chamber, the useful material is weighed in the chamber, and its density is specified as the set value. Adjustment of the separation stage is modified, and a flow of harvested mass is continuously separated into a flow of useful material and a flow of residual material. Again some flow of the useful material is caught from the separation stage into the measurement chamber, the useful material is weighed in the measuring chamber, and its density is specified using the measured mass. Working parameters of the separation stage are optimised on the basis of comparison of the specified density value and the measured density.

EFFECT: inventions make it possible to optimise working parameters of the harvester in a simple manner during operation to obtain useful material with proper yield and purity.
