FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: with left engine crank deviating through 25° from horizontal line and right machine crank deviating through 115°, left engine piston departs from rear dead center for 0.04 of its stroke while right engine piston departs for 0.7 of its stroke. Fresh steam is fed into rear chamber of piston 2 from the boiler and steam feed from expanded rear chamber of piston 1 is initiated into, first cylinder 4 (for re-expansion) unless cylinder 1 passes front dead center and, then, in back stroke of the latter, distributor is switched over to feed steam into receiver. Now, feed is terminated at stroke mark of 0.95 and steam is released outward. Fresh steam feed into cylinder 2 is terminated and, thereafter, left engine is driven by steam expanding in cylinders 2 and 5. After turn of left machine crank through 115° piston of cylinder 2 stays at mark of 0.7. Expanded steam is fed from rear chamber of cylinder 2 into front chamber of cylinder 3.
EFFECT: simplified design, higher efficiency.
