FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: gyroscope has a master laser and a ring laser consisting of a solid-state optical amplifier and an annular resonator in form of a light guide wound into a coil. The master laser and the annular resonator form a "master and slave laser" pair with injection of radiation of the master laser into the resonator of the ring laser and synchronisation of pumping of both lasers such that waves injected and circulating in opposite directions in the resonator of the ring laser successively run through the optical amplifier. The master laser used is a single-frequency diode laser whose radiation frequency is stabilised.

EFFECT: invention increases reliability, longevity, resistance of laser gyroscopes to external factors, simplifies the manufacturing technology and reduces the cost of the laser gyroscope.
