SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of laser information-measuring systems and can be used as an angular velocity sensor; it has a ring laser, consisting of a ring resonator, an optical amplifier, a phase modulator, a spectral-selective narrow-band filter and two fiber couplers for outputting waves from the resonator; a semiconductor or fiber optical amplifier is used as an optical amplifier; a long-length light guide is used as a ring resonator; the device also contains two channels for recording beats and a digital beating processing system, with the help of which the noise component is suppressed in the output signal carrying information about rotation.
EFFECT: invention can be effectively used as angular velocity sensor.
