FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: method of determining vapour dryness involves collecting a sample of humid vapour, measuring temperature of said sample, measuring temperature of the superheated sample and the calculating dryness. The vapour sample of constant mass undergoes constant-volume heating. Also, pressure of the sample before and after heating is measured, after which vapour dryness is calculated using the formula: where P1 is pressure before heating the sample; P2 is pressure after heating; T1 is temperature of the sample of humid vapour; T2 is temperature of the superheated sample. When determining vapour dryness, temperature and pressure are measured successively using one temperature measuring apparatus and one pressure measuring apparatus, respectively.

EFFECT: high measurement accuracy and simple apparatus for measuring dryness of humid vapour.
