FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: compact testing ground for measuring characteristics of various antenna systems comprises the tested antenna, a switching unit, a control and processing unit, a block of radiators, a signal analyser, an indicator, a supporting and turning device, a collimator mirror, first and second directional couplers and a device for turning the radiators. The first output of the signal analyser is connected to the first input of the switching unit. The first input of the signal analyser is connected to the first output of the switching unit. The second input of the signal analyser is connected to the second output of the switching unit. The first input-output of the signal analyser is connected by a bus to the first input-output of the control and processing device. The second input-output of the control and processing device is connected by a bus to the first input-output of the switching unit. The second input-output of the switching unit is connected to the first input-output of the first directional coupler, the second input-output of which is connected to the third input-output of the switching unit, and the third input-output of the first directional coupler is connected to the input-output of the tested antenna.

EFFECT: possibility of measuring the directional pattern of a wide class of antenna systems.
