FIELD: information technologies.

SUBSTANCE: method to develop a synchronising link in a protected community with synchronisation between equivalent nodes includes stages, when a user's input is received on the first computing device, which confirms that the first folder on the first computing device must be synchronised with the second folder at the second computing device; in response to the input, the first computing device creates an invitation, which includes information to create a synchronising link between the first and second folders, besides, information includes a list of members, which specifies rights of access to the first folder for each user in a synchronised community so that the list of members includes at least one user of another computing device in a synchronised community in addition to a user of the second computing device, and also access rights for at least one other user and the user of the second computing device for access to the first folder; and the invitation is sent from the first computing device to the second computing device.

EFFECT: simplified data synchronisation in data storage systems.
