FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and is used in producing ceramic articles operated at steel friction. Proposed method to increase wear resistance is intended for sintered ceramic based on zirconium dioxide powders or zirconium dioxide and aluminium oxide and comprises intensive short-time friction processing of article surface by steel counter body at sliding speed of 35-45 s/s and 5-10 MPa for 0.5-1 min to allow transfer of counter body material on article surface and production of antifriction wear-resistance coat thereon. Note here that speed and pressure are linearly increased to finite values. After that speed and pressure are reduced and processing is finished.
EFFECT: higher wear resistance.
